ContextEd Refund Policy
Effective date: 21st of July, 2026
Quick summary
- Exam Pack: refundable within 7 days of purchase.
- Pro (monthly): refundable within 7 days of your first charge.
- Pro (annual): refundable within 14 days of your first charge.
- These windows apply to your first charge only — subscription renewals aren't refundable except where required by law.
- If you're a consumer purchasing through Paddle (most countries outside Nigeria), you may also have additional statutory rights under Paddle's own Buyer Terms — see Section 6.
1. Refund windows
| Product | Refund window | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Exam Pack | 7 days from purchase | The one-time charge |
| Pro (monthly) | 7 days from your first subscription charge | First charge only, not later monthly renewals |
| Pro (annual) | 14 days from your first subscription charge | First charge only, not later annual renewals |
Requests made within these windows are eligible for a full refund of the relevant charge.
2. Split-payment Exam Packs (Nigeria)
If you paid for an Exam Pack in two installments via Paystack, your 7-day refund window is measured from your first installment, not your second — delaying the second payment doesn't extend your refund eligibility.
3. How to request a refund
Nigeria (Paystack): contact us at support@context-ed.app with your purchase email and the plan or pack you purchased. We'll process eligible refunds directly through Paystack.
Everywhere else (Paddle): contact us at support@context-ed.app, or request a refund directly through Paddle at paddle.net, since Paddle is the Merchant of Record for these transactions and handles billing and refund processing directly. Either path reaches the same outcome.
4. What happens after a refund
Refunding your purchase reverts your account to the Free tier — it does not delete your Contracts, study materials, or mastery progress. You keep everything you've built; you simply lose paid-tier access.
5. What isn't covered
- Subscription renewal charges after your initial refund window has passed.
- Purchases made on an account terminated for violating our Terms of Service's Acceptable Use section.
6. Your statutory rights
This policy doesn't limit any non-waivable consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country.
If you purchased through Paddle, Paddle's own Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply and may grant you further rights — including, for many consumers, a statutory right to withdraw from a first purchase or first subscription payment within 14 days, independent of the window stated above. Where Paddle's or your local law's rights are broader than this policy, the broader right applies. See paddle.com/legal/refund-policy for details.
If you're a Nigerian consumer, nothing here limits your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, including your right to a refund where a service is not as described.
7. Refund timing and method
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing time depends on your payment provider and bank, and can take up to 10 business days to appear after approval.
8. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as part of our Terms of Service, without prejudice to any statutory or non-waivable consumer rights described in Section 6.
